The goal is not to be successful, the goal is to be valuable. Once you’re valuable, instead of chasing success, it will attract itself to you.

Alexandra Smyth and her team currently reside in Ft Lauderdale, FL and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. In 2014, she started building her clientele as a tax preparer. She has always enjoyed balancing books and preparing taxes. During her time on St. Thomas, she studied accounting at the University of Virgin Islands, interned with a local CPA for three years to learn tax accounting, and worked as an equity analyst for an offshore mutual fund. As her clientele grew overtime, she finally opened an office and created the team. Prior to this, she worked in the hospitality industry for eleven years which gave her the flexibility to travel the world, intern, and go to college in Fairfax, VA, San Diego, and St. Thomas. Her passion for bookkeeping and consulting was heightened through an introduction to Xero, an innovative accounting software, and continued education. Currently, Alexandra resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL while she strives to become a CPA by 2020. She has team members in the Virgin Islands, Florida, and California.

She continues to grow and learn through her professional career, personal experiences, ongoing studies, relationships, extracurricular activities, and nonprofit work. Her experience, education, and hobbies add value to her services. Perfectly Balanced Books’ clients range from yoga studios to restaurants to construction companies to nonprofits to boat charter businesses. The team at Perfectly Balanced Books is energetic, innovative, responsive, and eager to help small businesses grow, become more organized, and achieve financial stability.

When it's not tax season, she loves to travel. She likes to stay fit through weight training, running, and yoga and is eager to learn and try new subjects, hobbies, and sports. She strives to excel in everything that she does and want to continue to lead and touch people's lives in a positive way.
